With an insulated down fill to keep you nice and toasty as you explore the great outdoors, the two lower pockets are ideal for storing those small valuables or a pair of gloves.  If it gets a little too warm to wear, the Hillpack can easily compress to fit into your bag or can be stuffed into its stuff sack saving you space, especially when it’s at a premium.
